Story Cellar

Hospitality & Leisure

Michelin-starred chef Tom Sellers envisioned an extension of his acclaimed Restaurant Story brand, but with a focus on wine—leading to the creation of Story Cellar. The talented team at ArkleBoyce Architects, based in London and Leeds, were tasked with transforming a retail unit in Neal's Yard, London. The goal was to create a Parisian-inspired bistro, centred around the display and enjoyment of fine wines, capturing the charm of a classic French wine bar in the heart of the city.

The open bar takes centre stage, whilst the entire space features an elegant monochrome colour palette throughout. Our Kerastar Night and Linen Matt 300x300mm porcelain tiles were laid in a 45-degree chequerboard pattern, adding a timeless touch of opulence. This classic design is beautifully complemented by the modern geometric Kerastar Linen Matt Hexagon 100x114mm tiles surrounding the bar, while crimson leather stools and chairs provide striking accents to the space. The restaurant also features a stylish private dining area, offering exclusive views of the wine storage, adding a sophisticated touch to the dining experience.

The design exudes style and sophistication, with the clever use of monochrome floor tiles, complemented by red and marble accents, and bespoke joinery pieces, blending seamlessly to create an exclusive Parisian-inspired dining experience. Situated in the heart of the iconic Seven Dials neighbourhood, this space offers a chic and elegant atmosphere.
