This latest Moss store at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol has a contemporary, pared-back feel, with clean fixtures and fittings throughout.
Johnson Tiles has worked with Moss, one of the UK's leading menswear retailers, on a number of store fit-outs over the years and continues to be a trusted tile supply partner for its retail estate. For this latest store, the scheme was specified internally by the Moss design team, with Johnson Tiles supplying the floor and feature wall tiles used across the space.
Our Portland tiles were specified throughout the main shop floor in a large format, bringing a weathered stone effect that anchors the space in understated sophistication. With a smoky palette and a textured finish, Portland is built to withstand the demands of a busy retail environment while giving the store a calm, upmarket feel underfoot. Its slip-resistant, hard-wearing surface makes it a practical choice for a high-footfall commercial space.
At the till points and service counters, Barbrook tiles bring a point of difference. Fitted in a kitkat-style strip format and finished in Sand and Mint colourways, these glazed ceramic tiles add texture and warmth to key touchpoints in the store. The gloss finish enhances light reflection around the counters while the tiles' irregular edges give a hand-crafted, tactile quality that softens the otherwise sleek, minimalist fit-out.
"We wanted a store that felt considered and premium, without losing personality. We've worked with Johnson Tiles on our store fit-outs for years now, so we knew they'd give us a durable, stylish base for the whole space with a bit of colour and character where it mattered," said Mel Bebb, Shopfit Manager at Moss.
Together, the two ranges show how a well-chosen material palette can be both functional and distinctive, tying the store's design together with characterful detailing where it matters most.
