  1. Tenesha Willoughby

    Tenesha Willoughby

    Studio Manager

    • Nicknamed ‘T-Pot’, Tenesha is a friendly ‘80s baby who loves Disney, animals and cute stuff
    • Studied Fashion and Surface Design at the University of Arts
    • Has a playful approach to design with a quirky and creative style, giving her the ideal skills for sourcing and research
    • Considered to be just like her pet Chihuahua – adorable, friendly and speaks her mind
    • Hates Baked Beans with a passion but goes mad over Twiglets
    • Aspires to marry Optimus Prime from Transformers
    • Enjoys meeting people and having a nice chat about everything and anything.
  2. Filipe Almeida

    Filipe Almeida

    Assistant Studio Manager

    • The youngest member of the Material Lab team
    • Our friendly Assistant Manager who will gladly help anyone who needs it
    • Studied Product Design at Brunel University
    • Often the first person you see when you walk through our doors
    • Secretly planning to be the next Arnold Schwarzeneggar by being gym and nutrition crazy
    • Hates flying but sometimes has no choice
    • Only like to travel on the Victoria Line as it’s the closest to his home
    • Loves working on various freelance design projects in his spare time.
  3. Jim Biddulph

    Jim Biddulph

    Projects & Materials Co-ordinator

    • A practising artist with his own studio in East London
    • Also finds time to teach Fine Art Foundation Degree at Loughborough University
    • Leader in the long service medals having started in 2007
    • Enjoys putting together our exciting events programme
    • Has enthusiastic approach to material research, which makes him the primary source of new products in Material Lab’s studio
    • Voted ‘Best Material Lab Footballer of the Year’ 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011
    • Prone to damaging both himself and his bike on a fairly regular basis
    • His favourite phase is “I’ll have a tea or coffee if you’re having one!”
    • Also never adverse to a piece of cake.
  4. Kerry Khoo

    Kerry Khoo

    Contract Support Assistant

    • The newest member of the Material Lab team
    • Loves helping people who visit the studio
    • Is a bit of a clean freak and enjoys keeping Mat Lab spick and span
    • Makes weird noises randomly after working on the PC or speaking on the phone for too long
    • Speaks three different languages - English, Cantonese and Mandarin
    • Is in love with Eeyore and is a sucker for anything cute
    • Proud owner of her little Yaris and loves driving it everywhere
    • An avid film photographer who owns three lomography cameras, a Polaroid camera and a vintage camera from the 1950s
    • Is always craving Japanese food
    • Is building her own computer, but somehow has extremely bad luck with any technology.
