Surface Spot : In the Studio

02.12.2016

It may have seemed the overuse of interior cork surfaces in the late 1980s had all but ended the application of the material. However, following an inventive rethink from manufacturers and a more environmentally-aware specification audience, it’s back with a reinvigorated bang.

Cork is actually the bark of the Cork Oak tree and is found in abundance in Portugal. One of the world leaders in cork surface materials is the Portuguese company, Granorte . From highly textured bark surfaces, embossed leather clad panels, plank format flooring products and digitally printed cork, we’re delighted to have a selection of Granorte surfaces in the studio. Why not pop by and see for yourself!
